HOW TO ORDER<\/h1>\n

Our sales team can walk you through the process of buying coffees, either spot orders currently available in our warehouse, or booking coffees that haven\u2019t arrived yet. We can also make suggestions for you based on your needs, paying special attention to coffee types, flavour profiles, certifications and traceability, price, and volume.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We accept orders via our customer portal<\/a>, by phone at +(03) 9428 6956, or by e-mail, either by directly contacting <\/span>your sales representative<\/span><\/a>, or by sending a message to <\/span>australia@cafeimports.com<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Pricing and availability for our current inventory is also available by phone or e-mail. We are also happy to discuss the possibility of participation in the World Coffee Research check-off fund.<\/span><\/p>\n

While we have no minimum order, we trade solely in full-bag quantities of coffee<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

All of our customers are set up on net 14\u2013day terms, and we accept payment via bank transfer or credit card.<\/p>\n

STORAGE AND FREIGHT<\/h1>\n

We partner with a third-party warehouse in Melbourne, and their attention to detail is as serious as ours is in the office. Generally, orders placed before 12pm AEST will be dispatched the following business day.<\/p>\n

We are also able to arrange storage for you on coffees you have contracted out and which are in-store in our warehouse. We can honour contracts of up to six months on those coffees that are a staple of your blends or that have become a cornerstone of your profile.<\/p>\n

A: Full bags of coffee (59\u201370kg) will be stacked on a wooden pallet and wrapped with plastic stretch wrap. Even single-bag orders will typically need to be shipped on a pallet. Your coffee is palletized in the warehouse, and our warehouse partners will give your order their full attention, whether it\u2019s one bag or 250 bags<\/p>\n

A: Our pallets are standard shipping pallets 1.2m x 1.2m and can be packed up to 1.5m high. Our wooden pallets weigh approximately 30kg each.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A: Depending on the size of the coffee bags, we can generally fit between 14\u201316 bags on each pallet. However, the total pallet weight cannot exceed 1,000kg including pallet and wrapping weight.<\/p>\n

A: Yes! <\/b>If you have a Chep account, we are happy to offer a Chep Exchange within the Melbourne Metro area. Simply provide your Chep account number to your sales rep so that they can help facilitate this.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A:\u00a0Before you sign off on the delivery release for any shipment of coffee, thoroughly inspect the pallet and the bags on it. If there is any damage or any discrepancies between what is delivered and what is on your delivery order, do not sign the driver\u2019s paperwork. When in doubt, take a photograph of the damage as soon as possible, and e-mail it to your sales rep, or to australia@cafeimports.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A: We are dedicated to full customer service and want you to be completely satisfied with the coffees you receive from us. We stand behind the quality of every bean we sell. If there is any quality discrepancy from approved sample to arrived coffee for spot purchases, our sensory analysis team will evaluate the issue after seeing any photos or samples you can send us, and if confirmed, we will take the coffee back free of charge and send you back out a replacement coffee right away. Our priority is making sure you are extremely happy with the coffees you buy from us. [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Q: How should I store my green coffee?” _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n

A: Coffee wants a cool, dry environment that is out of the sun and away from areas where water, dirt, rodents, or insects can cause damage (i.e. preferably off the ground and away from food prep or storage). In an ideal world you\u2019d have a dedicated warehouse or storage area with climate control set to 60\u201370\u00b0F (15\u201321\u00b0C) at 50\u201360% humidity, but we realize that isn\u2019t possible for many small roasters. <\/span><\/p>\n

If you have limited resources, we recommend the following: <\/span><\/p>\n

\n
• Keep your coffee in GrainPro bags and keep the GrainPro closed between uses. <\/span><\/li>\n
• Store coffee in the coolest (but not cold) area of your facility, out of direct sunlight and away from anything that affects moisture in the air such as dishwashers, steam radiators, dehumidifiers, etc. <\/span><\/li>\n
• If you have multiple bags on contract, consider allowing your importer to hold them in the warehouse over a few months rather than taking delivery of the entire volume at once: You can do this by adding a few cents\/pound of carry to the price of the coffee.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  [\/et_pb_accordion_item][et_pb_accordion_item title=”Q: How long can I store green coffee?” _builder_version=”4.16″ global_colors_info=”{}” open=”off”]<\/p>\n

  A: Different coffees will respond differently to quality degradation over time. Some types of coffee hold up very well in storage; others fade more rapidly. The general rule of thumb is \u201cfresh is best,\u201d and we recommend using up green beans within 6 months of receipt, though up to a year is acceptable in most cases.
